Scott Vicary, CFA®
Scott Vicary, CFA ®, is a financial professional with more than 28 years of experience in financial services and fund management throughout the world. Scott is committed to providing professional wealth management services with personalized attention.
Scott has worked in all aspects of finance and investment management, including private equity, banking, company and sector analysis, brokerage services, IPO development, and direct early-stage investing as a principal. He has served on the board of directors for five portfolio companies, including as the chairman of the board for two of them. The breadth of his experience has given him unique insights into investing and wealth management.
For the past 20 years, Scott has lived and worked in the greater Washington D.C. region, where he and his wife have raised two children and have are active in fundraising and volunteering for local schools and charities.
Scott holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, a rigorous three-year program from the CFA Institute involving exams in a broad range of financial management areas. He also holds a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.Phil from Oxford University, where he was a Thouron Scholarship recipient. He is a proficient speaker of Russian and has worked extensively in the former East Bloc countries.
In addition to recently joining Sulzberger Capital Advisors, Scott worked at James Capel (now part of HSBC) in London, the World Bank, World Power Technologies, Global Environment Fund (private equity), and Rookwood Investments LLC (early-stage, private investing).
